You see this pink purple icon?

It says, "PXY," that means that you're editing with proxies if you want to work with just the camera.

Originally for Bashar, you want to see if there's going to be any degradation to the shot.

You go up to the playback option, proxy handling preferred camera originals, and I'll change the icon to HQ means you're using camera originals or whatever the original media was before you made the proxies.

And that is the link that we have between the cameras that are in here and the proxies and knows exactly where the two of them live.

The great thing about Resolve, though, is that if you are linked to hi-res media, when you go to export something, it will use the camera originals as long as you don't tell it to export using the proxies.

So if I go in here and I say use proxy media, I can use the proxy media to export.

But if I have the camera originals, I want to show the client the highest quality possible.

That's a great thing.

With Blackmagic, you also have that option in other entities, but it makes it so simple in Resolve.

You can just hit the one button and it toggles back and forth.
